FM9 ZenGuard Magnetic Display Protection System

(NOTE: Works with both MK I and MK II versions)

ELEGANT, YET PRACTICAL DESIGN

The latest iteration of ZenGuard is the strongest, coolest looking and most flexible display protection system yet. Designed to provide drop protection (from falling cable ends etc) and scratching, the ZenGuard system features 6mm thick matt black layered acrylic Surrounds into which Clear Display Protectors are rear fitted. The rear-fit design has 3 benefits:

1. It’s impossible for the Clear Protectors to fall out as they’re held in place by overlapping sections of the Black Surrounds.
2. It means you can easily replace the Clear Protectors (spares are available)
3. It results in double the protection from dropped objects, as the first line of defence will be the raised Black Surrounds.

Glare-free and no effing scuffing! Neodymium magnets, which are recessed and glued into place into the underside of the Black Surrounds, before being covered with black vinyl circles, ensure everything stays firmly in place and won't damage the finish of your unit. The magnets are not visible from the top and the matt Black Surrounds blend into the finish of the unit, retaining the sleek, no-nonsense factory look.

WHAT YOU GET

• 1 x full width Black Surround for the lower 6 buttons of the FM9
• 1 x smaller Black Surround for the top 3 buttons of the FM9
• 3 x Mini-display Clear Protectors (each of which cover 3 mini-displays)
• 1 x Black Surround for the Main Display of the FM9
• 1 x Main-display Clear Protector

Please note, the Clear Protectors in the photo are covered in the protective film in which they ship. Simply peel the film off before use.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

As the Clear Protectors are rear-fitted and are held in place by the Surrounds, there is a knack to getting them installed. It’s easy, takes about 2 seconds of your life and the 2- minute video below shows you how. They come supplied with removable stickers to help you position the Clear Protectors within the Surround for when you first place them onto your board.

A NOTE ON MAGNETS AND GLUE

Although the magnets are very well glued into place, in the unlikely event one ever comes away from the Surround, simply put a dab of glue on the magnet and pop it back into the Surround. This has yet to happen, despite the good folks at Iron Maiden taken theirs out on the road for over a year, but it’s a simple fix should it ever happen.

Finally, there is very likely going to be some clear glue residue on the edges of the Black Surrounds. This is completely normal and is just from the gluing process of making the layered Surround. You can scrape this off if you wish, but you'd probably never have noticed it if I didn't mention it anyway :-)
